About Dr. FudgeDr. Steven Fudge is a 1979 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He earned his B.A. in microbiology in three years, and then went on to earn his D.D.S. in just three more years. While attending dental school, he received numerous recognitions and awards, including the Johnson & Johnson Preventive Dentistry Award. Following graduation, Dr. Fudge accepted an invitation to participate in the General Practice Residency Program at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. In the year following his residency, he was appointed the Assistant Director of the Residency and Director of the dental clinic at St. Vincent. Dr. Fudge began private practice in 1981, in Paulding, Ohio, moving to Sylvania in 1988. In December 1998, after months of design and planning, Dr. Fudge moved into his current location at 4913 Harroun Rd. During his years of private practice, Dr. Fudge has been on the dental hygiene faculty of Owens Technical College and Lima Technical College. He has taught classes in head and neck anatomy, embryology, histology, radiographic interpretation, pathology, and pharmacology. He has also been a member of the adjunct faculty of the University of Michigan Dental School, teaching in the General Practice Residency Program at University Hospitals. Currently, Dr. Fudge is on staff at Flower Hospital and lectures in the Diabetes Center and the Family Practice Residency. He is a member of the Toledo Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Fudge continues his education each year by attending many hours of continuing dental education pertaining to dental procedures, techniques, devices, and patient care. Dr. Fudge is especially interested and trained in the care of the medically compromised patient. Dr. Fudge lives in Sylvania with his wife, Jan, an occupational therapist, and his children Allison and Ben. | |
